Reason #546 to Buy Beef from Your Neighbors

Seems that China doesn’t want Brazilian beef now that a case of mad cow disease has popped up. The last incident was a 3 month halt of imports when 2 such cases had been noted. That’s from bovine spongiform encephalitis. Wall Street Journal is reporting on it, but they did not emphasize that the U.S. had bigger issues with Brazilian meat quality in 2017. The U.S. supply was halted back then over more significant concerns about nasty, bacteria laden and rotten meat slipping into the food supply, but importation resumed in 2020, and has reached record heights.
It naturally helps prevent diseases when your cattle get to wander around in the pasture. And they are tastier 😉
