HOW MUCH BEEF CAN BE PURCHASED?

We sell beef cattle in halves or quarters, with a quarter being "half of a half", rather than a front or back portion, so that you can have the greatest variety of different cuts of beef.  Click HERE for a pictorial representation, and HERE for an example of how much  meat is obtained from a half side of beef.


WHEN CAN I OBTAIN REAL BEEF?

We ship cattle to the processor in the spring and fall, but may have some available at other times.  Feel free to inquire at our contact page.


WHAT IS THE PRICE OF THE BEEF?

This varies with the market.  In 2016, you would be obtaining final cuts, varying between about 5 and 6 dollars per pound, (processing fee included), depending on how closely you trimmed the beef and how much bone was removed.  Since this includes such cuts as filet mignon and strip steaks, and various roasts, it represents considerable savings, as well as a huge boost in the quality of your beef.  It's healthier for you and your wallet.
